Dana Enders is a well-known Southeast Regional plein air painter who in 2020 relocated with her family to the beautiful, Southwest coast of Florida, after residing in Atlanta for 20 years. Dana now resides in Fort Myers and is an active member of the Fort Myers Beach Art Association and weekly enjoys painting outside en plein air. Her medium of choice is acrylics, however, in the last year she has started exploring painting with pastels. Dana is also well known for her custom pet portraits.
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Dana received her BFA degree with a focus in graphic design from Virginia Commonwealth University. Although Dana started her career as a professional graphic designer after moving to Atlanta in 1996, she spent most of the past two decades dedicated to raising her daughters. With her daughters now in their twenties and with the full support of her husband, Dana is focused full time on spreading her wings as a professional artist.
In the past, Dana has enjoyed participating in outdoor arts festivals and for the past several years has been juried into two of the south east’s top arts festivals: the Piedmont Arts Festival and the Dogwood Arts Festival, both in Atlanta. Dana’s most prestigious honor was in October 2019 when she was selected as one of 40 Georgia plein air artists to participated in Georgia Color Plein Air, a 4-day event in the heartland of Georgia, sponsored by the Olmsted Plein Air.
